I feel incredibly lucky to have a job I genuinely adore. Photographing weddings is so much more than taking beautiful photographs; it’s about telling the story of your day, capturing the real emotions, the little details and the moments you might otherwise miss. Most people worry about feeling comfortable in front of the camera, that’s normal. But trust me it’s not actually scary, it can even be quite enjoyable! As an experienced wedding photographer, I know how to bring the best out of people in photos, and I always say to my couples they will feel totally different on their wedding day, it’s a day like no other. You are so caught up in everything that’s happening around you that you don’t think twice about being photographed. And when it comes to couple portraits think of it as a special time in the day when you actually spend time together, because you’ll find that you’re super busy throughout the day. Take a moment to be present as you walk through the amazing wedding venue you chose because you love it. Enjoy holding hands, hugging and laughing together. Just be you. A fab way to feel comfortable about having your wedding photographs taken is booking in an engagement shoot (pre-wedding shoot). It’s a laid back session where you’ll create fab couple portraits and discover that you’re actually really good at having your photo taken! There are loads of wonderful Surrey locations to choose from and it's a super way to get to know your photographer so you feel relaxed on your wedding day.
