Laura and Alex had their Wimbledon Common Engagement Shoot in the basking July sun. There wedding was set of November so it was lovely have a contrast of summer and winter in their engagement and wedding photos. From the moment we started the shoot Laura had the giggles, which is absolutely fine with me as giggles are fab in photos. Alex on the other hand was very nonchalant, happily doing as he was instructed (and looking forward to going to the pub once the shoot was done!). The beginning of an engagement shoot is always hard for the couple, it’s an unknown feeling, you’re in a public space and you feel self-conscious. But that’s where I come in and help you feel relaxed, give you the confidence that the photos are looking great and you’re doing really well. It was a Monday afternoon so the common was pretty much empty which was great as it gave us a free run and allowed Laura and Alex to embrace the photos. With a little direction they soon got into the swing of things and they were wonderfully natural with each other. Engagement shoots are fantastic opportunity for couples to experience being in front of the camera and overcome any anxious feelings before their wedding day, and of course get fantastic couple portraits that mark the beginning of their wedding journey. As we walked around the common we chatted about their upcoming wedding at Morden Hall and it was really exciting to hear all about their plans. I had a great time on Laura and Alex’s Wimbledon Common Engagement Shoot and can’t wait for their wedding later in the year.
