What a year 2021 weddings turned out to be! With the beginning of the year still halted by the pandemic restrictions it was an unsettled time in the wedding world. Then once the final restrictions were lifted in June and big weddings were allowed once more it was full steam ahead into a crazy six months of wonderful joy and celebration. With many weddings having been postponed once, twice, even three times it made the reality of the day even more special. The first big wedding I photographed post restrictions was utterly incredible and one forever etched in my memory for the pure joy and happiness that radiated throughout the day. A feeling epitomised after the first dance as literally everyone went totally bonkers on the dance floor. The feeling of release was tangible, friends and family together once more embracing the love and jubilation of a wedding day, a feeling I’ll never forget.

We were back and we were busy! All suppliers working so hard to accommodate all the postponed weddings, but so thankful to be back doing what we love. I got to photograph at some of my favourite venues again and explored new ones to add to that list. And the best bit of all working with wonderful couples who put their trust in me to capture their special day. There were so many laughs, emotions, surprises, tears and a whole lot love. Looking back through all the photos I felt each day like it was yesterday and feel so honoured to have witnessed these very personal events in peoples lives. Thank you to everyone for making 2021 weddings so memorable.
