Rowan and Pete’s engagement shoot Leith Hill was a first for me as it was is the snow! We had already had to reschedule the shoot once before due to rainy weather so when we woke to a blanket of white snow I hadn’t imagined that they would want to go ahead but this hardly couple weren’t put off by a few snow flakes. Being from Scotland Rowan and Pete were used to colder temperatures and embraced the snowy day with full gusto, not even a slight shiver in sight!

Leith Hill is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Surrey Hills and very popular for walking trails. On a normal day this place is bustling with dog walkers and families but the freezing temperatures kept them away which was perfect for us as we had the whole place to ourselves. And when it’s cold there’s no better place than to be cuddled up tight with the one you love, so there was lots of big snuggles on this shoot. Rowan and Pete were absolute superstars, they followed direction and were so natural together is was a dream to photograph them. There was something very special about that cold winters morning, it was like the world had frozen in time, we felt so present in that moment focusing on them. We chatted all about their upcoming summer wedding at Gildings Barns in Surrey and all the exciting plans they had in place. It was great to get to know them and I was really excited for the big day later in the year.
