I’ve been fortunate enough to have photographed many weddings at Morden Hall and it truly is a wonderful wedding venue. It’s contemporary, light filled rooms really compliment my natural style of wedding photography. I love shooting weddings at Morden Hall, there are so many stunning photography locations and I always discover something new each time I visit. Morden Hall is in a beautiful serene venue nestled within 125 acres of National Trust land making it an ideal location for a wedding. The grounds offer a great choice of locations for romantic couple portraits and group photos and the 18th-century country house is bursting with charm and sophistication. With a choice of ceremony rooms, a wedding breakfast room filled with natural light and tranquil gardens Morden Hall offers so much for you on your wedding day.
morning preparations
There are rooms for both the bride and groom to get ready on the morning of the wedding. The Cherry suite is the perfect space for the bridal preparations, with ample space for hair and make-up. The room has a modern décor, loads of natural light and plush comfy furniture to make you feel right at home. The Sycamore room is available for groom preparations, fitted out with a mirror and hanging space for suits it’s a great space for the gents to be prepped for the big day ahead.
The Ceremony
The Willow Suite is suitable for larger ceremonies with space for up to 120 guests. There is a staircase leading down into the room to make your grand entrance down the aisle. The Hawthorn Suite is located on the first floor overlooking the grounds. The period drawing room is perfect for a smaller and more intimate ceremonies with space for 70 guests.

Morden Hall has its own private gardens where the River Wandle flows between the North Lawn and main parkland. The iddlic landscaped grounds offer fantastic photo opportunities throughout the seasons. There is a quaint old footbridge leading over the river and tree lined paths at the side of the house. While your guests enjoy drinks and canapés you have the privacy of the gardens to relax and capture stunning natural couple portraits.
group photos
There are lots of options outside when it comes to the group photo locations and the backup of using the beautiful rooms inside the house if the weather isn’t on your side. Plus there’s access from a window on the first floor to get an ariel group shot of all your wedding guests in one shot.
the reception
The Mulberry Suite can seat up to 150 guests for the wedding breakfast. With a high vaulted ceiling and loads of natural this room can be dressed to suit any wedding theme and make a huge impression on your guests. Next door is the Oak room which can be used as a quite space to accommodate children and just somewhere for a little quiet time.
