Christie and Eddie’s Royal Military Academy Sandhurst Wedding was an epic day that combined formality and fun in one glorious bundle. The morning started at the Aviator Hotel in Farnborough where the bride Christie and her team of bridesmaids were in full swing hair and make-up. Christie is a beautiful lady and she looked absolutely stunning in a detailed lace dress and floor length veil.
The ceremony
The groom Eddie is in the Parachute Regiment their wedding ceremony took place at The Royal Memorial Chapel on the college grounds. Eddie accompanied by his bestman welcomed the guests who were gathered outside in the glorious sunshine into the chapel. Standing tall in their military uniforms they looked very dapper and handsome. The huge volted ceiling chapel was filled with natural light and ornate detail and made for the perfect setting for their ceremony. Christie arrived by taxi, as the groom Eddie has a penchant for black cabs this was the only choice of car for the wedding. After the ceremony the newlyweds exited in true military fashion through a guard of honour.
The reception
Following the ceremony the bride and groom jumped into their black cab to take a quick drive while the guests made the short walk from the chapel to the main building for reception drinks and photos on the grand steps. Then it was time for the celebrations to really begin as the reception continued with a marquee by the pond. They were welcomed by the sweet sounds of a steel drum band to get everyone into the party spirit in the summer sun. The drinks were flowing and competition on with lots of games to keep the guests entertained.
The wedding breakfast
The wedding breakfast was held in a marquee that was elegantly dressed with a splash of colour. And the speeches were hilarious and emotional in all the right places and had everyone in stitches. After speeches in tradition the military men all changed from their uniforms into the formal evening outfits with bright red blazers and tight black trousers which looked amazing. Then it was onto the first dance and party time!

Kind words from the couple…
Lynsey was our wedding photographer in June, before the day itself she was extremely helpful and asked us exactly what it was we wanted. She was fantastic on the day, never got in the way and was very friendly and accommodating. We have just received the photos – 700 of them – and are really happy. There is a good mixture of posed and natural photographs and we can’t wait to get them printed and framed. I highly recommend Lynsey – thank you very much.
